Matt is the youngest of 6 and was born and raised in the State Capital of Louisiana. Matt lives with his husband and 2 young children (ages 16 & 13) in the Southdowns neighborhood where he serves as the Secretary to the Board of the Knollwood Inc. HOA and is proud to call Baton Rouge his home. After graduating from Catholic High School in 2003, he later became an alumni of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies. He obtained 3 minors in Business Administration, Mass Communication, and Psychology. In 2005, Matt attended a semester abroad at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he studied International Real Estate and Social Media. Becoming a first-time homeowner/investor at age 19, his role as landlord commenced on the heels of what many now describe as 'The Housing-Financial Crisis,' and mere days prior to the landfall of Hurricane Katrina. It was a fast lesson in the convoluted process of finances and the core principles of real estate. Through his time as a landlord and investor, Matt developed expertise in design, property management, real estate finance, and marketing. ?In 2005 Matt accepted a position with RE/MAX Honolulu. During his tenure, the office was recognized for operating the fastest-growing franchise in the California and Hawaii regions. He assisted in the expansion to a second location in West Oahu and gained a unique perspective on Global Franchise Leverage and its branding power. Since 2012, Matt has been working hand-in-hand with contractors, designers, and investors to successfully manage and execute flip homes throughout Baton Rouge. He attained his real estate license in 2015 after more than a decade of working within the industry. He is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors, Licensed with the Louisiana Board of Realtors, and is also a member of the New Orleans Board of Realtors giving him jurisdiction from the West Bank of New Orleans to the Atchafalaya Basin. ?Matt was nominated for the 2015 & 2016 Rising Star Awards from the Baton Rouge Board of Realtors. He became a multi-million dollar producer, Ranked in the Top 20 Regional RE/MAX Agents for Revenue and Top 100 Realtors in 2018 and Top 30 Agents in 2019 on a board of 3500 Realtors. Matt has closed over 197 transactions (and counting...) After doubling and then tripling his business Matt expanded business in the fourth quarter of 2018 by aligning with the Keller Williams Red Stick Partners on Bluebonnet Blvd. Volume in July 2021 Matt was ranked as the 10th Realtor exceeding $114,000,000 in Closed volume in the course of 10 years.
